Terry Chasteen

Originally from Southern West Virginia, Terry currently serves as an Associate Professor of Voice and the Vocal Area Coordinator at the Western Illinois University School of Music. 

Mr. Chasteen’s singing career has taken him throughout the United States and to Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. 

In demand as both an operatic performer and orchestral soloist, Terry has performed with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, the Indianapolis Opera, Opera Memphis, the Texas Baroque Ensemble, the Abilene Opera (TX), the Abilene Philharmonic, Opera North (NH), the Plano Symphony (TX), the Valley Symphony (TX), the Longview Opera (TX), the Irving Symphony (TX), the Wausau Symphony (WI), and was heard in recital on Wisconsin Public Radio's Live from the Elvehjem series. 

Local and regional performances include appearances with the Nova Singers (Galesburg, IL), Opera Illinois, the Galesburg Community Chorus, the McDonough County Choral Society, and the Southeast Iowa Symphony. 

This concert marks Terry’s first appearance with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra.
