O V E R T U R
E S of Support
Our community is so fortunate to have supporters like you
who believe in the cultivation and presentation of quality musical
performances. Quincy Symphony Orchestra Association (QSOA) programs are made
possible largely due to the generous contributions and past corporate support
we have received.
As a special thank you for your consideration and financial
commitment to our organization, our musicians, and our audiences, we will
extend our sincere appreciation and provide civic recognition of your company’s
support.
QSOA benefactors receive widespread publicity in all concert
materials and on our website. As your support increases, so does your corporate
visibility. Depending on your level of commitment, we vigorously promote your
company on our tickets, direct mail, concert signs, programs, and all other
promotional materials.
Furthermore, as a token of our gratitude we offer everything
from a private ensemble available for your corporate event to season and
sponsored concert tickets to use as employee incentives and recognition. See
Sponsorship Benefits chart for complete details.

T S in the Right Direction
We are growing! For
several consecutive years, season ticket sales and overall concert attendance
have increased significantly. Season ticket holders now number over 450, and
concert attendance numbers many hundreds more.
These increases are attributed to renewed efforts to perform the music
at the highest level possible for our groups, to enthusiasm in the regional
corporate and arts community, and to a strong board commitment to the worth of
our programs.
C O M P O S I
T I O N of the QSOA
The mission of the Quincy Symphony
Orchestra Association is to bring fine symphonic orchestral and choral music to
the people of Quincy and the surrounding area, to providing organizations for
local musicians to perform such music, and to create and support programs that
encourage young musicians to continue fostering their interest and skills in
symphonic and choral music.
Under the guidance of Dr. Bruce C.
Briney, Music Director & Conductor, the QSOA has continued to thrive. Dr.
Briney is an accomplished conductor, performer and educator. A music professor
at Western Illinois University, he teaches trumpet, and is the former director
of the university's Symphony Orchestra.
Symphony performances also reach over
3600 children each season. The
Association sponsors many educational opportunities for youth, including Young
Peoples concerts for over 3,000 school children. These concerts expose young
audiences, the majority from underserved populations, to live symphonic music
through a concert geared specifically to them. The goal of the concerts is to
inspire children to get involved as participants in music. The concerts are
presented completely free of charge.
