Jessi Sparks Kinderchor Director Quincy Area Youth Chorus

A 2008 graduate of Culver-Stockton College, Jessi Sparks received her Music Education degree with an emphasis in instrumental music.  She was principal flutist in the C-SC Wind Ensemble for over 2 years, and performed with the C-SC Symphonic Band and Jazz Band.  An equally active vocalist, she was a member of the C-SC Collegiate Choir, Concert Choir and Chamber Choir during her Culver years. Jessi was a music educator for the Western Community Unit School District in Barry, IL for two years.  There, she served as the K-12 Vocal Music Director, Assistant High School Band Director, and Assisting Marching Band Director, in addition to teaching general music classes and serving as Drama Instructor.  In spring 2010 she coordinated the area IHSA Solo & Ensemble contest.   Jessi’s current position is with the Canton R-V School District, where she is the 6-12 grade Band and Choir Director. Originally from Eldon, MO, Jessi now lives in Canton, MO.  In addition to conducting the Kinderchor, she is a member of the Quincy Park Band.
