Christine Beason received her Bachelor of Music Education from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.  She taught middle school band in the Atlanta area for six years before moving to Illinois to complete her Master of Music Education and starting a Doctor of Education at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. 

Before coming to Quincy, Christine was the Director of Athletic Bands at Eastern Illinois University. 

Christine is currently beginning her second year as Assistant Director of Bands at Quincy University.  In addition to directing the Quincy Area Youth Orchestra, Christine plays French Horn with the Quincy Symphony Orchestra.
