Amanda Saul, a junior at Quincy Senior High School, is involved in music and theater activities, including concert band and orchestra as an oboist; jazz band - piano; and concert choir, madrigals, and show choir and was recently selected by audition to perform in the Illinois Music Educators All-State Honors Choir, earning the highest audition score for all sopranos in her district this past Fall. Amanda has also appeared in a number of theater productions including Footloose with the Quincy Community Theater, Seussical, The Musical, and as Kim McAfee in the QHS production of Bye Bye, Birdie. She studies voice privately with Amy Stollberg. Amanda also studied oboe with Marianne Peters and piano with Phyllis Yates and is an alum of the Quincy Area Youth Chorus under the direction of Mr. Paul Shelor. Amanda, the daughter of Michael and Randi Saul, plans to pursue vocal music as a college major. |
