Alice Ye

Alice Ye, a sophomore at Macomb High School, is the daughter of Drs. Zhong Ye and Sherry Li.  She started studying piano at the age of five in Springfield, Illinois.

Currently she studies with Mrs. Hyung Ja Kim who is a retired piano professor from Western Illinois University. Along with piano, she plays flute in Macomb High Wind Symphony, taking lessons from Mrs. Marsha Wetmore, and pit during Marching Band.

She has attended Western Illinois University Band Camp and Flute Camp, IHSA Solo and Ensemble competition, and IMEA District Band. She participates in Art Club, Ecology Club, Speech Team, Interact, tennis team, Scholastic Bowl, Math Team, and WYSE. She has won first prize in Art Olympiad and holds an office position in Art Club and Ecology Club.

Alice hopes to help save polar bears and delay the extinction of the human race. When she has spare time, she enjoys watching international films and drawing.
